Would you like to try walking or running a 5K for the first time and aren’t sure where to start? Join us Thursday mornings outside the library to work towards finishing Minocqua’s annual Bear Cupboard Run, taking place Saturday, June 27th at beautiful Torpy Park.
The free NHS Couch to 5K plan helps you ease into running at a pace that feels comfortable for you. Over 9 weeks, you will run 3 times a week, (once a week at the library) alternating between walking and running. You will run further and for longer as you go through the plan. By the end of the 9 weeks, you will have the skills, endurance, and confidence you need to finish the Bear Cupboard Run 5K.
