How can I get a library card?
Apply for a library card by visiting the Minocqua Public Library. You will need to fill out a brief application and bring in a photo I.D.
A driver’s license with current address is the easiest way to apply. If you do not have that we will accept a photo ID and may ask you some questions to verify. A parent and/or guardian is required to be with anyone 18 years or younger requesting a card.
If I don’t live in Minocqua, can I still borrow items?
Yes. To check out books at the Minocqua Public Library you need to be a taxpayer or live in the state of Wisconsin and have a library card from the Wisconsin Valley Library System.
Libraries included in the WVLS consortium of libraries include:

I forgot my card, but I still want to check out material, what do I do?
You may show photo identification and/or answer some questions for verification purposes (address, phone, date of birth, etc.).
Does the library need to know if I’ve moved?

Do library cards expire?

If I don’t have a library card, can I still use the library’s computers?
